The Creation of the World

1 In the ^(A)beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

²¹ She will bear a son, and ^(A)you shall call his name Jesus, ^(B)for he will save his people from their sins.” ^22 (C)All this took place ^(D)to fulfil what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:

(which means, God ^(G)with us).

⁶ Jesus said to him, “I am ^(A)the way, and ^(B)the truth, and ^(C)the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Jesus Begins His Ministry

^14 (A)Now after John was arrested, Jesus ^(B)came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, ¹⁵ and saying, ^(C)“The time is fulfilled, and ^(D)the kingdom of God is at hand; ^(E)repent and believe in the gospel.”

³ For ^(A)I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died ^(B)for our sins ^(C)in accordance with the Scriptures, ⁴ that he was buried, that he was raised ^(D)on the third day ^(E)in accordance with the Scriptures, ⁵ and that ^(F)he appeared to Cephas, then ^(G)to the twelve. ⁶ Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.

¹⁰ The thief comes only to steal and ^(A)kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
